Privacy Policy

Last updated June 30, 2026

This policy explains what MakeTheRSVP collects and why. The short version: we collect only what we need to run your RSVP pages, we never sell your data, and guests never need an account.

Host accounts

When you sign up as a host, we use Firebase Authentication (a Google service) to manage login. We store your email address and a Firebase user ID so we can associate your events with your account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and basic profile from Google; we do not receive your Google password.

Event and guest data

When you create an event, we store the details you enter (title, date, location, description, and the RSVP fields you enable). When a guest responds, we store what they submit: their name and response, and any optional fields you turned on, such as party size, meal choice, dietary notes, a message, or an email address.

Guests do not create accounts. A guest who leaves an email may receive a confirmation and, if the host sends one, event messages. Guest RSVP pages are set to no-index, so search engines do not list them.

Payments

Paid plans and per-event unlocks are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We keep a Stripe customer ID and your plan status so we can apply the right entitlements.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors to run the service: Google Firebase (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare R2 (cover-image storage), and an email provider (guest confirmations and host messages). Each receives only the data needed for its function.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar storage only for essential functions, chiefly keeping you signed in. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Retention and deletion

We keep event and RSVP data while your event is active so your dashboard works. You can delete an event at any time, which removes its responses. To delete your account and associated data, email us and we will take care of it.

Children

MakeTheRSVP is intended for adults planning events. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
